I installed anti pop ups and nothing worked. I installed adware doctor and everything is working again without pop ups.

I ran into a problem from a site that I didn’t realize was unsafe. Had issues with browser immediatly afterwards like auto refreshing of pages and thumbnails on Chrome not showing any more. I knew there had to be an issue. This worked great. Fixed all these issues on first scan.

This app was previously illegally using the name of my app, AdwareMedic (adwaremedic.com). Apple pulled it, and it quickly came back as Adware Doctor (although thats still not the real name of the app... its real name is Browser Sweeper, if you inspect the filename carefully). In addition, its a worthless pile of junk. I tested it against an assortment of adware, and it detected and removed none of it. It seems to just trash all browser-related settings, history, etc, including all browser extensions, even the legit ones. Further, the latest version of this app requests admin permissions, in violation of App Store rules. This has been reported. Ive put in a a second request to have this app pulled from the App Store, but anyone who was fleeced out of $9.99 for this app should also request a refund.

I had been blocked from my browser by malware, tried this app and success in less than 2 minutes. Great deal. Recommend highly.

Signed me off from all Chrome extensions (and my Chrome account) without further warning. Didn’t tell me if it found malware or not. It should at least scan first and give me the option to uninstall extensions & log out ONLY IF it found something. Adware Medic is much better and freeware, I regret giving this a try just to feel safe.

I never review things but this actually works. Ive had all types of adware crap on my mac for a LONG time and i just ran this and boom its all gone. And its free right now, win

This app saved my computer get it rate 500000 starts if i could. As simple as the picture above

My case was interesting, it was not the adware installed in my laptop but the website I was watching had those ads. Even though problem was not in my computer with their support and very quick answers I realized where the problem is coming from! Thanks you guys.

My browser was hijacked by adware that kept telling me browser was blocking a trojan virus and I needed to contact and 1-800 number for support. I wasn’t falling for this so I googled searched on my phone and fount Adware Doctor. It cleaned up the problem in seconds!!!

My browser was hijacked by adware that kept sayingt I needed to contact a 1-800 number for support. Saw this program in App store for $5.00, downloaded and the problem with my browser was resolved in five minutes.

I have had a mac for 10 years and never had a problem surfing the web. Now tonight ran into a web page the took safari’s control away from me. It kept opening up pop ups and tabs with windows that said I had to call this number to get a killer virus removed. It even started speaking through my computer the same message call now before a critical error happens. I tried to reboot several times and I kept quiting safari and as soon as I opened it was back taking over and not letting me control safari at all. Well I was able to quit safari and then I went into the app store and found this Adware doctor. I purchased it on sale, lucky, and ran it and instantly fixed my problem. I use safari for all my bookmarks so to lose it would be devistating to my business and personal. So gald this worked so good in ONE try right after downloading, super easy! GET this it works!

I wasted hours on my old PC scouring the internet for ways to remove malware from Safari. I tried every trick and failed. I was about to take the computer in for a cleanup, but then I saw this app. It took about 5 minutes to clean up the computer and rid it of MacKeeper which had overpowed Safari and was holding it hostage. Thank you Adware Doctor!!

I have never purchased a program for viruses or adware for my iMac. I had pop-up all over the place. After using this program the first time it took care of my problem and help speed up my computer. I did not know I had something in the background slowing the system down. After using this it, made up big difference with everything. I have observed other programs that cost much more, but did not seem to have done the same job. Thanks again and I have no problems.

what more could you want from an app? it cleaned some buggy problems slowing down my mac, firefox and safari. highly recommend

I can’t say enough about this simple and extremely effective app. I recently became the victim of some serious ad and spyware. I am a long time mac user and have never had any kind of virus, spyware, adware, malware etc….. EVER. Not even once. I suppose I thought I was immune to this crap being a mac user. Oh how wrong I was! I went to take a look on the app store for a good adware killer that had great reviews and let me tell you Adware Dr kicked some serious but!! Safari was completely unusable and chrome was just as bad or worse. I tried a handful of safari ad blocker extensions (when it was still sort of usable) which did absolutely nothing. I watched in depth tutorials as to how to identify, locate and destroy adware, malware with zero results. I couldn’t find it. Adware doctor took all of 15 seconds to do what I haven’t been able to do for the last two days. This app is AWESOME!! If you unfortunately contract adware or malware get this. The couple of dollars it cost’s is nothing compared to the time, money and stress this bulls*#t reeks on your life and beloved macbook. Thank you developers! Keep up the good work!

It just works. You will have to delete the stuff yourself but it will clearly point you in the right direction.
